Guest Voices
Real people. Real setups. Lessons from the field.*
Guest Voices is a little different from the rest of the Kingboss blog. The articles here are not written by our in-house team. They are written by people who live what they write: full-time RVers, boat owners, off-grid homesteaders, installers, and weekend builders who have solved a real problem and are willing to share how.
The premise is simple. The best power advice rarely comes from a spec sheet. It comes from someone who has routed 12V wiring through a cramped bathroom, run a trailer off solar for a season, or compared a portable generator to a battery system during an actual storm. Guest Voices is where those hard-won lessons land, written in the contributor's own voice.
That means the range is wide. One article walks through sizing a battery bank for a small trailer. Another explains how smart LiFePO4 batteries and mobile monitoring are changing RV power. Another weighs a portable generator against a battery backup before storm season. The through-line is usefulness: every piece is tied to a concrete setup you could actually build.
Why We Publish Guest Voices
No single team has done everything. RVers know things that marine owners do not, and off-grid builders know things that neither does. Guest Voices brings those separate worlds together in one place, so a reader can borrow a solution from a completely different setup and adapt it to their own. It also keeps the blog honest, since outside voices are less likely to repeat the same talking points.
